There are over 30 state and national parks to go to and golf could be enjoyed at among the 60-plus locations. Go for a walk down memory lane at historical museums and parks and also preserve an image of a few of the Poconos' historical railroads for posterity. The Poconos will be the home of quaint galleries, NASCAR racing, outlet shopping and hitting the slopes for a few intense skiing action.

Skiing is not any doubt synonymous with the Poconos. In 1946, Big Boulder became the initial commercial ski area opened in Pennsylvania. A decade later, the procedure of man-made snow was patented, perfected and the Pocono Mountains were introduced as a ski destination in the Big Boulder Ski area. A few of the hot skiing spots during winter include Alpine Mountain, Shawnee, Blue Mountain, Camelback and Jack Frost to mention several, with over 20 trails to pick from.
